A P+C's x Black Country Type collaboration to protest against Birmingham City Councils proposed library cuts -  all profits to help save our libraries!

Hand pulled screen print on G F Smith Colorplan art paper. Size A3 (unframed). Open edition. Also available in Cobalt blue. Also available in sunshine tees!

Our artwork is based on BCT's photograph of an 80s sign on the front of Selly Oak library, which was closed by Birmingham Council in 2018 and has been left to ruin. The slogan is adapted from the Manic Street Preachers song 'A Design for Life'... LIBRARIES GIVE US POWER.

The tees and prints are a protest to cuts across library services. For the duration of September, during Birmingham City Council's library consultation period that may see just 10 of 35 libraries remain open full time, all profits from this project were donated towards the printing costs of Brum Library Zine - an incredible volunteer-led protest publication which was available for free in all community libraries. We donated £1215.
